Orthognathic treatment of an open-bite

This is a case of a very severe open-bite occlusion from an adult patient.

Only the combination of orthodontics and surgery allow us to correct the dental and facial alterations of the patient.

Fortunately this is a rare case, but those who suffer from severe malocclusions have limitations for chewing and clear repercussions on the jaw joint (TMJ) and even digestive disorders due to the associated chewing deficit.

This patient needed to combine orthodontics with an upper and lower jaw surgery.
