Class III orthognathic treatment

This case illustrates the great facial improvement that happens in surgical and orthodontic treatments.

We see how at first the patient has a clearly prominent chin and the upper lip is very retruded with respect to both the nose and the lower lip.

In the middle phase the teeth have been aligned but it is even better perceived how the lower teeth are far ahead of the upper ones.

In the end, when surgery and orthodontics are completed, the patient has completely aligned teeth and a much more harmonious lip relationship than at the beginning. The jaw does not have that excess volume that we saw at the beginning and the nose does not look so prominent (although he has NOT had a nose surgery!!).
